Spring Rain
Apr. 14th, 2006 12:34 pmIts raining today. This will pass - the spring showers will give way to sun soon enough. Which is wonderful. But so is the rain.
I love the rains of spring - especially the early ones. The ones that take the remains of winter - the dirt left behind by the melting snows, the grass that is more brown than a truly vibrant green, the hibernating trees, and leaves you with spring. Outside, the trees are budding once again and the grass has turned mostly green. The spring rains set the stage, really, preparing it for one of nature's most wonderful shows: the beautifal, short, and very fragile spring blossoms.
A metaphor for life? I don't know - I just know its wonderful and its right.
