1) Given the state of the world, and more directly, the way that Americans live in and effect the world around them, what American policy/trend/value would you change for the betterment of the world as a whole?
I think we need to be a lot more aware that we can't solve issues with a quick fix. I honestly feel that was the heart of the problem over Iraq - everyone seemed to expect a cake walk, and that no one would have any problems with what we were doing. In the end, the problems we're facing are
hard - if they could have been solved easily, they would have already.
The second thing I'd love to consider is dropping trade barriers - all of them, with the government then putting a comprehensive program in place for helping the losers to that policy. While there would be losers, I think there would be an awful lot of winners all over the world.
Thirdly, we need to conserve oil a lot better. I'm not sure I believe in the Peak Oil disaster theory, but the high price of crude is going to affect our economy sooner or later - and likely not for the better.
Huh. That was three things, possibly none of them a great idea. Was that good enough?
2) What season do you feel the deepest connection with? Why do you think it effect's you so? Do you consider it the prettiest/most comfortable to live in?
Spring and Fall. Fall most especially - I love the crispness of the air and the sheer amount of colors. Spring comes a close second because its a season of change - everything is coming back to life after a long quiessence. Both seasons, really, have an aspect of change that I love - neither summer nor winter are eternal.
Is having two favorite seasons alright?
3) If you were a wolf, what would your role in the pack be?
jilliko insists that I'd be the alpha. I think its more possible I'd be the beta.
4) Where is the one place in the world that you feel the safest? The most comfortable? The most unnerved?
Anytime I'm with my
jilliko is the from the hip answer. The realest answer is anytime I'm with people I know care about me, my thoughts, and my abilities, and I care about theirs the same way. I feel unnerved when I'm in a large group I don't share that connection with. Its.. almost like loosing a sense, because I can't figure them out right away.
5) What is your definition of success?
If you're reading this comment, there is a sidebox to this page called "Who Am I?". Go read that. I'm successful whenever I've met the (admittedly) lofty goals outlined in that.
If you want, I can ask you some questions which you can answer in your LJ! Keep in mind I'm already one meme behind, though
