Waiting for the patrons...
Nov. 4th, 2006 07:06 pmI did get a little FF12 love - about an hours worth. I'm amazed how they found so much to do with their FF11 experience. The combat is very, very reminiscent of - but without all the internet stupid. Monsters even drop "crystals" rather than the traditional gil. Also interesting is that what used to be rendered as FMV is now mostly handled by the in-game engine. I am seeing Greg Dean's point about the load times, though. The storline so far is setting up in an interesting fashion. It remains to be seen at this point whether or not he game will grab my attention as much as 10 or 9 did.
At the moment, sitting box office waiting for patrons. Only 2 tickets pre-sold tonight, so everyone is alittle nervous. And we'll find out if we need to take down set walls so that the Rotary band can play on Tuesday. I am really, really hoping that we don't and only have to clear the stage. That means I don't have to come down tomorrow and my tasks are reduced to visiting mom in the hospital, a bit of laundry, and some hard-core FFXII. And maybe Cyber Sunday, we haven't decided one way or the other yet.
