I do believe the internet has carried us back to those days when we were in elementary school and just had to have our parents buy lots and lots and lots of those cheesy paper valentines so we could hand them out in class.

Even though girls were filled with the evil cooties and we would, certainly, contract this vile and heartless disease that, uhm, would, uhm, make us cootie-filled.

Man... our teachers were sadistic.

Hello North East Region,

At this time I'm accepting applications for the position of Convention
Lead for NERE 2007. With the announcement yesterday of both the
location and dates, its important that the staff for NERE 2007 get
filled asap.

This position will not have any say in the matters of the Storytelling
side. Our RST or someone Dain chooses will pick that position. This
position will deal with the following:

-Hiring Staff
-Overseeing Staff
-Direct Liaison between the Camarilla & the Hotel
-Working on the Convention Budget
-Having a hand in the every day running of the Covention, prior to and
during the Convention.
-More Stuff I'm sure :)

What I'm looking for in for this position is this:

-Excellent communication skills
-Excellent internet access
-Excellent work ethic/habits
-Ability to manage a staff
-Ability to take feedback and not take it personally
-Someone that wants to make NERE 2007 kick butt

If you're on the fence about applying for this position, I say go for
it. There are probably a hand full or less people in the North East
that have run conventions/NERE in the past and I don't recall a single
one of them having convention experience prior their first convention.

You won't be alone in the handling of the convention, I promise you.
While I've never lead a convention myself, I've been on several
NERE/NEGLECt staff's and had some excellent Con Leads to learn from.

(Dominick to the NE-Region List)

Hrm. To app or not to app? And am I insane for even considering apping? Certainly, I think I now have relevant experience. Hrm.
