Petrus hung onto his beast desperately, feeling the anger growing within his breast. How else could it be, given his cousin's actions? To step boldly into the lion's den is one thing - that is a thing he could be proud of. To do it without any support, without even a member of the family to watch one's back! Worse, to inform the member of the family who would be very able at watching his back that he was going, that he would take no aid, and that he expected Petrus to simply stand aside and convey his final wishes to the remainder of the family! For a moment, the frenzy in Petrus's breast threatened to rage out of control. He bit it back, sharply, tasting his own blood in his mouth.  I will not lose control. I am the master of my Beast. No other!

As his threatened frenzy calmed and the beast receded, he pulled out the chair of the desk and quietly sat down. Precise fingers picked up the laptop and slowly tapped out an email to his father and to his other cousin. Do what you think you must, Lorenzo. But do not think that if you are captured that we will not come after you. Or if this company slaughters a member of the family, that I will not bring their building down around their ears.

It was the only answer he had, but perhaps it would be enough. The question still lingered in his mind, though: Do I tell Bella and Aleksander now, or after Lorenzo does not come back?
