Aikido - Day 6 of 24
Jun. 20th, 2008 09:32 am1/4 of the way there!
If Tuesday's was a tough class, this was a great class. Maybe I was just in the right mood - but I was stretching better and rolling better than I have been before. I'm willing to say its the six classes in a row that are helping.
Anyways. The class consisted mostly of wrist grabs again today - both static (Uke grabs your arm either with one or both hands and you have to throw them) and dynamic (Uke moves towards you and grabs your arm. Or moves around you grabbing your arm and seeking to pull that and your other arm behind you). I was doing pretty well, though I've learned that every time I try to concentrate on fixing one part of the throw, the other parts slip out of alignment. Probably because I'm working too hard on getting one single part of the throw. That and when being an uke I can totally slow down when going for the grab - the goal is to stop and grab not grab and run through them. :)
Anyways. I think I pushed a little harder than usual, because my shoulders are a little sore this morning. I'm going to treat it as 'hey, I did good!'
